Unlocking Creativity

Summer in the City

We’ve all heard the saying “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” It’s true. We all need passion and play time. Tapping into your creative side brings a welcome break from the overworked mind.

How do you tap into that creative side that gives your mind and body a welcome respite from the everyday? One way is to start reading good literature. Reading transports you to a different reality and exercises your imaginative muscle. Making time to read a good book will change your outlook on life and help you develop your creative side.

Take a break when you are working to stretch and breath. Set the alarm on your phone for every 50 minutes to remind yourself to stand up, stretch, and take a few deep breaths. You will feel better and become more productive.

Carve out time every day to create. This can be painting, drawing, cooking, photography, building, writing, crafts, or whatever you find interesting. Be disciplined and set aside time each day to tap into your creative side and do what interests you.

Finding your creative side is a great way to unplug and play. You will find your overall productivity will increase. Get started today and enjoy your creative side!
